Become A Better Basketball Shooter
The first thing you have to do is believe in Jesus cause all things are possible with him. Okay, breath easy with your abdominal muscles that will allow you to relax. Let's warm up for a minute with stretching and taking some jump shots as well as three point shots. Well, you have a decent shot but your rusty. Let's sharpen up your skills.
Now, when you hold the basketball your fingers can be on the black lines but it doesn't have to be. For starters though, put your fingers on the black lines. We are shooting a jump shot. Which hand are you, right or left? Right! Okay, your right hand is going to be your shooting hand and your left hand is going to be your guide. If your left handed, it's the opposite. Alright, breath with your abdominal muscles to relax your body cause you look a little tensed.
Basketball is about being relaxed. Take nice big slow breaths. As your holding the ball, raise your elbow up with the ball at forehead level or above. With your left hand your palm should be on the ball while your right hand is ready to shoot. Keep Franklin sports basketball , shoulders down, back straight, eyes looking directly inside the hoop.
Use your calf muscles, hamstrings, and the power of your hips when you jump. Extend your shooting arm, snap wrist, spread fingers keep your left hand guide up ALL in one motion as you breath with inhalation and then release your breathe. Follow through with your shot all the way by extending your right arm completely not halfway bending your shooting elbow. Ready? Shoot. Swish! Good shot looking like a pro already.
If you missed your shot you either didn't follow what I said correctly or you need to try again. Remember that your not going to make all of your shots cause your only human. Move around take more jump shots following the same procedure. Then I want you to take some three point shots. At the three point range you'll use more power from your calf muscles, hamstrings and hips when you jump up.
I like your jump shots. Keep snapping that wrist and leave your left hand guide up. Spread your fingers too. Nice! Go around some more about five shots then back up to three point. Use more power, it's the same thing no different. Yep, jump! Extend your arm. Snap your wrist and spread your fingers. Look through the hoop, since that's where you want the ball to go. Great Workout!
